Cabinet Mission 1946 divided power between League, kings, and Congress. Allowing League to have hold over Muslim-majority states in India, while congress would maintain its hold over Hindu majority India not ruled directly by the kings. This arrangement was meant to maintain the unity of the country. When all these attempts failed and he was forced to accept annexation to avoid a war which would have dearly costed his subjects whom he loved like his children, he started his own party.

He won every seat in his erst-while Kingdom. Congressi Fabian Jainaryan Vyas, who was known for anti-national activities throughout the princely period, was so soundly defeated he lost his deposit. Indian people put their money where their mouth is, they put a tight slap on the face of Patel and Nehru who had sold the future of the country for the sake of power.
