It is particularly unethical to photograph and post someone's pictures who will otherwise not make their life public due to cultural/ethnic/religious bounds. And being present on someone else's land or habitat generally requires the owner's consent to take photos. The famous photograph, Afghan Girl is the example how Sharbat Bibi was unhappy for being photographed by the photojournalist Steve McCurry. So to journalists, tourists and people who are photographers, stop taking pictures of local people from rural areas without asking their permission. Period!
